August Goals

August 2020

Saturday came and I was so relieved to flip all my planners and calendars to August. July was rough, especially the last few weeks. I found myself dealing with a hard case of depression where all I did was wake up, work, and then watch four hours of 90 Day Fiancé, and then go to bed.

August Goals

So when Saturday came around, I was ready to start a new. I spent most of the day still in bed, but I focused on what I could. I set up my new planner, set up a to-do list for the weekend, wrote some content, and went on a walk.

Saturday was the first good day I’d had in a while. I’m hoping to carry that momentum the rest of the month. Even though I didn’t post them in July, I had several goals and they all fell apart about two-thirds into the month.

I’m not even going to worry about those, they’re in the past. Let’s just focus on the new month and new goals.

Personal Goals

  • Get my sister’s birthday present
  • register to vote for the general election
  • lose five pounds
  • register my car
  • cook 5x a week
  • exercise 4x a week
  • Organize Notion
  • blood work

Work and Money Goals

  • Save $700
  • Save Stimulus Check
  • Hit 100% at work
  • Budget Planner
  • Set up 401K

Writing and Reading Goals

    • Finish Hit List
    • 50 people on my mailing list
    • outline short story
    • Writing Resources
    • Social Media – specifically IG stories
    • Website updates
    • Finish The Dark Corners of the Night
    • Read The Right Swipe

There is a lot to August but I’m going to stay focused and check in with these goals every week. Even if they aren’t here, I want to check with myself every week and stay accountable. What are you hoping to accomplish?
