Enjoying Summer Break with Ca'Momi Wines
Thanks to the lovely folks at Ca’Momi for providing the bottles of wine. Of course, all opinions are my own.Â
Nothing says summer like taking time to relax. Whether you like to lounge around the pool or enjoy a good book, you can always enjoy a great glass on wine with your summer days.
Lately, I’ve been a margarita girl, but I will never turn down an opportunity to try some good wine, which is why I loved it when Ca’Momi wanted me to give them a try. I had three wines to try: Pinot noir, chardonnay, and the Bianco di Napa.
Now, usually, I’m a red wine drinker, but I was surprised that I loved the chardonnay. I don’t typically drink white wine at all, but it was nice and crisp. We had it with fish, and it was light. As I said, I usually drink red wine, not white, so the fact that I helped my parents (who love white wine) finish the whole bottle is pretty impressive. I feel like I’m developing a love for chardonnay because it reminds me of family.
The red wine, the pinot noir, actually took a little time for me to get used to. I love red wine, but it can be really dry. I found it worked better after throwing some ice cubes into it. Of course, this was the first wine I tried, and the more I’ve had it, the more I’ve liked it.
Red wine also happens to be my editing wine, so when it’s time to get cracking on the manuscript, I’m pouring myself a nice glass and getting to work.
The Bianco di Napa is super sweet, but it’s definitely a summertime wine. There’s a wonderful pear flavor to it, and the packaging, with all the light colors, just scream summer. If you want a wine that you can drink while sitting next to the pool and catching some sun, this is it. This is a beach chair and awesome book kind of wine (currently rereading one of my favorite books ever, so I’m definitely looking for any excuse to catch a little bit of sun).
All of these wines are hand crafted, and if you’re in Napa Valley, be sure to visit their restaurant! My parents passed it when they were out there a few weeks ago.
My last summer vacation is almost over, but I’m trying to enjoy every minute of it. It’s my last one ever. A nice glass of wine is a great way to relax (seriously, I never have more than one glass #responsibledrinker), and enjoy the blistering sun for one more summer.
