February Goals

This post was originally planned for last week, however I was sick so it didn’t happen. Oops.

January felt so fast but gosh was it slow as could be this past month. It just dragged on and on and I’m so glad tomorrow is the end of the month. The last two weeks have been split between moving and cleaning out the last place before the lease ends and work has had some tough goals. There have been a few times I’ve mentioned to my boyfriend I’m ready for February. Which is gonna be long this year, too, go figure.

February Goals

I already have a theme that I want to focus on in February: declutter. Y’all, I own a ton of shit! I’m already organizing stuff that I want to donate, sell, and just get rid. I went from furnishing most of a 1,380 square foot, two-story town house to a 619 square foot, one bedroom apartment.

And I did little decluttering beforehand cause I just wanted stuff in boxes. So far, living alone has been so nice and quiet. I’m on the corner of the top floor in my building, so there’s little noise up there, except for a crazy wind storm we had the other night.

It’s nice too because one of my co-workers actually lives in the building next to mine, and while I haven’t seen him out in the complex yet, it’s always good to know someone already. So far I’m really loving it here.

January was pretty hit and miss because I was just going, going. going. Even February has been a roller coaster so far. but I’m trying to stay focused on what I can control and that’s hard. My best friend and I are making it a conscious effort every week this month to check in on our goals. Too early to tell how it’s going but we’ll see.

Now, how did I do in January?
