Ginger + Co.
One year ago, I wrote a little blog post called “Howdy”. It was the start of something new. Something familiar, but a new page. My teen years had been filled with ups and downs, baggage that I didn’t want to focus on anymore. So, I started over.
This past year has been crazy. I’ve learned so much on this blog – I think, more than I did on my three years  at Howdy Girl/Laura Elizabeth, whatever the hell you want to call it. The blog has moved three times? Four? Three (From blogger to squarespace, back to blogger and finally to the nice little home on wordpress). I learned about scheduling social media and scheduling posts ahead, I’ve worked with great brands (Who doesn’t want to work with wine companies?).
But here’s the thing: I’ve realized in the past year, I don’t want this blog to just be about me. Yes, The Laura Way is a pretty awesome way, if you ask me, but I want my blog to be beyond me too. I spent so long wanting The Laura Way to be a brand, when it wasn’t . I didn’t have a clue what I wanted out of the blog, I didn’t know what I wanted out of my name and when you don’t know, it’s rather frustrating.
I’ve spent the past few months looking and searching for something that I felt could carry me and something beyond me to the future. Whether I become a designer, run a public relations firm, what ever it was going to be. For a long time, I had names that I was forcing to make work, and obviously when you force something that isn’t supposed to happen, it doesn’t happen.
Then a few weeks ago, it finally hit me. The name I needed.
Welcome to Ginger + Co.

Love the bright blue! Such a pretty dress!
I like the new name. It works and if you are like me you probably have grown to become attached to your red hair and don’t ever plan on changing it so the ginger won’t be weird down the road. Super cute dress by the way!
I am way too attached to my red hair!
Cute name. Love the dress too.
thank you! It’s a handmedown from my roommate!
It’s so exciting to see you’ve finally found a great title that words for you!

Glad you found a name you like!
Cheers to the new name! Here’s hoping this one sticks 😉
You have NO IDEA how much I want it too. It’s kind of disheartening when you have your own name in your blog name and you think “This is lame!” so, I really hope this one sticks!
I love, love, love the new name!
