  1. Wow, 10,000 words is impressive. Having an outline or at least some direction is so important. Not knowing the direction I’m going in is always what trips me up.

    1. I totally agree. Both times I did 10K in one day (I did that twice in a week – I’m crazy), I hit spots where I didn’t know where the story was going. Outlining is so important – even if it’s a loose outline.

  2. That’s amazing! I have zero tips for writing mass quantities in one day, because I am lucky if I can write 1,000 words in a day, even for a blog post! But I love these tips and hope to be able to accomplish this one day!

    1. It’s definitely something I think you need to build to. Start out working on 500 words a day. Most days, that’s all I get. Once you feel comfortable with that, you can start trying for 1000 words. Once you’ve done 10000 words in one day, it seems easier to do it again. At least my second day at 10K was easier than my first one.
