My Favorite Reads of 2021
Another year of books is down for the books, and this year was a wild reading year for me. At the end of 2020, I realized I was stuffing my bookshelves with books that had been there for two or three years with no prospect of being read.So a major goal of mine in 2021 was to read through some of those books, and about half of the books I read this year were books I’ve had a while.
Going through my reading list to pick my favorites, I also realized that I read a lot of stand-alone books this year. I’m usually a series girl, which I guess is why I have so many stand-alones on my bookshelf. What a fun year of reading though, getting to see so many worlds and characters. Picking my favorites were hard, and I made up some fun categories to feature more books.

While I usually feature a favorite series, the only books I read in series this year were continuations of previous series – the In Death series and the Stephanie Plum series. I didn’t really read any other series because my bookshelf is all stand-alones.
Going into 2022, I’m hoping to read through my bookshelf even more, and up my reading goal to 52 books. That’ll be roughly a book a week, and it’s been a few years since I’ve read that many. You can view my 2021 reading list here.
I’m ready to do it.
