November Goals

Seven more days. Seven more days. Seven more days. Come next Wednesday, I predict that my stress levels will take a nosedive, and that’s a good thing. The past few months have been completely insane. I’m ready for life to take a slow down, even if it’s just until the end of the year.
The days have blurred together, and I’m not sure how I’ve made it this far – simply just for the fact that life goes on, and it’s dragging me with it. So, I totally failed at this whole goals thing in October.

November Goals

OCTOBER GOALS

WORK

-Get all my fundraising emails for the month written in the first week of work – haha, not even close
-Survive Early Voting – work in progress
–Create a social media schedule for Election Day and get it approved
-Allow myself to take a step back when I get overwhelmed. If I don’t, I know I’m more prone to making mistakes, and I can’t afford those right now

THE BOOK

-Finish outlining the new draft of Justice & Lies – HAHAH. I have maybe ten chapters.
–
Just get 10,000 words of the new draft done this month. Writing time is tight and this feels like a much bigger goal than it should be (says the girl who did that many words in a day earlier this year)

THE BLOG

-Get ahead on blog posts. I need to have all the posts between now and Election Day done by the middle of the month.
-Brainstorm some newsletter ideas, I’m always coming up with those at the last minute!

LIFE

–Get my nails done for the wedding I’m going to this weekend (I promise you, this is a much bigger deal that you think – I’m notorious for having bad nails)
-Go to the wedding
-Visit family and friends while I’m up in DFW for the wedding
-Save some money (I’ve had moving costs, two flat tires in the past month and a half, and now I have to probably spend $400 to fix my four-month old laptop – my wallet is hurting)
-Purge my closet again
-Get my stuff out of my grandparents’ house, finally
Well, I did some stuff well, and some other parts were not so great. Since I’m basically in a blur the next nine days, I feel that most of the goals are basically “just survive.” I know that I will survive, because life takes you with it regardless of whether you want to or not, but it’s going to be a challenge – in a good way.

NOVEMBER GOALS

WORK:

-Survive Election Day
-Figure out what happens after the election

THE BOOK:

-finish outline for Justice & Lies
–
Do an abbreviated version of NaNoWriMo and get 30,000 words done on this darn book – after the election
-finalize the cover for Justice & Lies
–
CELEBRATE ONE YEAR OF BEING PUBLISHED (except book birthday is also Election Day)

THE BLOG:

-Keep plugging along on blog posts
-Start planning out for 2017. I have a lot of ideas, but I need to figure out what is the best plan of action.
-Brainstorm some more newsletter ideas. Cause I’m the worst.

LIFE:

-Enjoy your damn birthday, Laura
-Keep saving money. Life is expensive.
-Enjoy your time with family

Wow, lots of arbitrary ideas for goals this month, huh? November is always an insane month, but I have a feeling this year will be the craziest ever.
