October Goals
October is here, y’all. AKA, the really hard month of fall semester. Of course, I say that while looking at my November, and I think November may take the cake this year as the hardest month.
Either way, October is already filling up, and as I write out these goals, I’m already feeling a little overwhelmed. Not enough to make me afraid or anything, but enough for me to realize I need to stay up to date.
September was hard y’all. As someone who likes to do everything herself, it was really hard for me to not be able to do some of the things I usually do because of the boot. For instance, I tried walking to campus every day with the boot, and it eventually started causing pain in my other foot.
I need to be better about listening to my body when it says something is wrong. The good thing is, though, I did go to the doctor, and he declared me boot free.
And then I got a cold. Between the boot and the cold, I feel like I missed so much in September. What originally was going a week off from blogging just to focus on things before I went to the doctor became a week and a half as I spent one weekend sick on my parents’ couch.
So, October, do me a favor and let’s not get sick again, okay?
Either way, September is over, and it’s time to take a look at how I did on my goals.
-Finish edits with the editor
-finish first draft of TA2
-blog five days a week
-stay on top of my classes
-get the boot off
-start slowly building myself back up to the gym. After the boot is off.
-start applying for jobs, post-grad style.
-start planning for a TA release….. #ohsnap
Well, I may not have completed everything, but I made a lot of progress on most of these. The only things I didn’t really do were apply for jobs (which I’m doing this weekend), go to the gym (even if I’m boot free, my foot can be super tender if I walk too much – and I still walk to school), and I definitely did not blog five days a week.
So, for October, a lot of my goals are the same, or continuations of goals from last month.
-finish edits with the editor – this will happen in the next week.
-set up the Laura Teagan website
-get ahead on blog schedules
-announce new contributors
-stay on top of classes
-apply for jobs
-maybe begin working on TA2 edits? (also, TA2 has a title now! Double Played).Â
-enjoy my time with my family when I see them in College Station
-rock my midterm test
-organize all the files on my computer. It’s kind of crazy how bad it is.
So, tell me, what do you hope to accomplish this month?
