Reading Recap 2024
This year has been kind of a frantic one, one where I’ve felt like I’ve lost touch with some of the things I love the most – like reading. When I started the year, I was starting the year about to start a new job! I was feeling good about the new year – new job and especially setting it up so soon after I was let go from my previous job.
I was actively moving my body on a regular basis, I was writing so much, and I was feeling good. So my goals for 2024 were a reflection of that and I feel like I did all right most of the year.

Then the fall hit and my reading (and writing) took a nosedive. When it’s all said and done, at the time I’m writing this, I have 87 books read, I’m reading one book on my kindle and listening to one, so I’m hoping to squeeze one more book in the next few days for 90. It won’t be my 100 I aimed for, but it’s better than I thought when I started writing this post.

I used to do my favorite three of each genres but this year, I think I’ll do my three favorites for each month, share some love for more books.

As I picked favorite books this year and went back through my reading planner, it was crazy to me how long it took me to read books I remember loving. I guess that’s how burnout gets you sometimes, but hopefully we pick up a little more in 2025.
