The New Company

Back in January when I relaunched the blog as Ginger & co. there was a specific reason for it being “Ginger and Company.” Obviously, this is my blog, and I’m the ginger, and most of the blog is my advice and my tips and my experiences. But I know that I don’t know everything, and other people have awesome stories and tips to share as well.

While the contributors (or the company, if we’re going to be a bit cheesy) took a break during the summer because I thought I wouldn’t be able to blog and I just wasn’t focused, August came and I knew I wanted to bring them back and make them stronger than before. So I put out a call for some new awesome ladies to join me, and while I took a long time to actually pick them and let them know, today, I’m really excited to introduce you to the five ladies that will be The Company.
We have three new ladies and two ladies who have written for me in the past.
amanda Amanda Alvarado is pursuing a degree in Film and Video with a minor in Journalism at Georgia State University. She aspires to work in the news media or entertainment industry. Amanda is a sister of Alpha Omicron Pi and in her spare time she enjoys reading, making YouTube videos, watching Pretty Little Liars, blogging, acting, listening to Nick Jonas, and cooking. Follow her on Twitter & Instagram.

leahLeah is a Marketing Professional who lives in Athens, Georgia and works at Terrapin Beer Co. Her favorite things include blogs, craft beer, wine, cheese and her dog: Gus. When she’s not working her day job, she’s blogging over at Life, Love, and Coffee Stains and sharing her craft beer consumption at The Craft Beer Project. She graduated from Wake Forest University in 2014, and is currently still trying to figure out how to be a real person, but has enough experience at it to share her advice (so others hopefully don’t have to make the same dumb choices to learn a lesson). Follow Leah on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, & Pinterest.

alli
For most of Alli’s life she’s have been known as the little “fashionista”. Fashion is her “thing”.  Through many fashion faux pas and failures, Alli has evolved into a young adult with a passion for all things fashion. She truly believes that you should ALWAYS look your very best, no matter the situation.

Sports and fashion are her main obsessions. She grew up in the household of a professional athlete, and a family blessed with true athletic talent. Alli, on the other hand, was not so lucky; although, she does possess a zeal that most girls do not have for sports. Hockey has consumed her life in an unexplainable way. Sports are such an integral part of who she is and she is currently on the journey to scoring my dream job in the industry. Between working two jobs and being a college student, Alli understands the importance of a good work-life balance. Alli currently works in the Arizona Coyotes PR department, which is a dream come true. Follow Alli on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or visit her website.

The Old Company

And of course, still here as a part of The Company are Lydia and Laney. I totally realized everyone writing has an “L” name or an “A” name. Total coincident, but kind of funny.

lydia

Hailing from the Chicken Capital of the World (Gainesville, GA), Lydia hopes to someday change the world with my writing. Or, at the very least, make people laugh with it. Until then, I spend my time at Wofford College as: an English major with a concentration in Creative Writing; member of Purple Scarf Society, RUF, and Wofford Pen Pals; eno enthusiast; Netflix addict; cat lover; feminist; and proud sister of Kappa Alpha Theta.
Follow Lydia on Twitter or read her column on The Odyssey.

laneyLaney is a senior at the lovely and historical College of Charleston, where she is majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and minor in Communication.  She loves trying out new apps and reading up on the latest technology news and gadgets, especially if they are from Apple!
When she graduates college she plans to go to graduate school and find a job working with a non-profit and help give those who need helping finding a voice for their life experiences.
You can check out Laney‘s blog, Modern Laine, where she talks about a little bit of everything. Topics include pop culture, college and life in general.
Follow her on Facebook, twitter, Pinterest, and instagram.
And of course, there’s me, Laura, but you already knew that. Be sure to stick around to see what all these ladies have to offer Ginger & Co.
